I am launching a new series of training workshops in sales forecasting and sales and operations planning. my target market is medium sized manufacturing businesses ($50m - $300m sales per annum) in the usa, canada, austraila, singapore, malaysia, south africa, new zealand and the uk. the sale will typically be made to the sales manager or somebody reporting to them each workshop will last 1 day and the fee per participant will be approximately $1,200. the content of the courses is distinctive and relatively easily communicated (better sales forecasts with less effort) the marketing effort will be supported by a good website (currently under construction). i am also very willing to provide sales support by e-mail or phone. every manufacturing business of this size needs to forecast sales and many (possibly most) find this difficult to manage and find it difficult to get their salespeople to prepare the forecasts. i aim to conduct 3-4 workshops per month in various locations with 15 participants in each. if we can fill more i will offer more. participants will sign-up on the website and will pay for the course using a credit card. i have a strong preference for performance based payment for the telemarketing service. i anticipate working with one telemarketer to market a number of events in the locations in which they are active. i will pay them based on the number of participants that sign-up for the events that they market. my first thought is that this could be $150 - $200 per person for each of the first 10 participants that sign up for each training workshop and $300-400 per person for each person above 10 (with a maximum total of 18 people per course) the actual fee would depend on the additional costs incurred eg for lists i would anticipate working with each telemarketer for a reasonable period of time so that any contacts developed marketing the first few events can result in people attending later events. i will also be marketing the workshops using adwords and any other marketing approaches that we agree (eg e-mail campaigns) the telemarketer that is "working" each event will also get paid for any participants that sign-up as a result of those marketing efforts. telemarketers will need to speak good english and to communicate in a very professional manner. i would prefer to work with telemarketers that are located in the same country as the events that they are marketing and preferably to have local accents if you are interested in working with me on the basis that i have described - or have suggestions for alternative approaches please respond requested information: 1. experience in marketing of professional services to executives in mid sized ($50m to $300m) businesses 2. any suggestions to improve the proposed approach to marketing the workshops 3. geographic areas in which you would market the workshops - and how many you believe that you could fill
